3d Imaging For Precise Planning

Added Comfort With Digital X-Rays

Dr. Knorr incorporates the safest and most comfortable technology for his patients to deliver high quality care. Digital x-rays allow Dr. Knorr to capture clear and precise images of the patients mouth for a more complete and accurate diagnosis. Images are captured in an instant, making the process more comfortable for patients compared to traditional film x-rays. Because there is no waiting for film to be developed, Dr. Knorr can instantly view the images on a computer screen.

One of the biggest advantages to digital dental x-rays compared to traditional technology is the fact that they expose patients to 90% less radiation. Combined with the fact that the image is taken in fractions of a second, patients can be confident that their exposure is extremely low.

Looking at the results of a dental x-ray, Dr. Knorr can identify hidden problems such as tooth decay, oral cancer, gum disease and TMJ Disorder.

In a digital format, these dental x-rays can be stored electronically with a patient’s dental records, eliminating the need for bulky storage. Digital x-rays can also be shared instantly with other dentists, specialists and physicians in order to provide the highest level of patient care.

One Day Crowns With Cerec

Using the revolutionary CEREC system, patients can get beautiful porcelain crowns in a single visit. No need for temporaries!

CEREC uses CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology, incorporating a camera, computer and milling machine in one instrument. Dr. Knorr uses a special camera to capture an optical impression of the damaged tooth. This precise image is digitally transferred and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dentist uses CAD technology to design the restoration. Then CAM takes over and automatically creates the restoration while you wait. Finally, Dr. Knorr bonds the new restoration to the surface of the old tooth. The whole process takes
approximately one hour.

Only a handful of dentists have incorporated this sophisticated technology into their practice. Imagine the convenience of having a dental crown placed in just one dental visit!
