How a Tooth-Colored Filling Is Placed
First, we gently clear away the soft decay or broken bits. We wash out the cavity and brush on a quick liquid shield to prevent future sensitivity. After that, we apply a clear adhesive that acts like superglue for the resin.
We dab in the filling material a little bit at a time, using a tiny blue light to set each layer in seconds. Once the cavity is full, we shape the material, polish it smooth, and test your bite.
And because natural teeth are never just plain stark white, we match the resin directly to your exact shade so nobody can tell you had work done.

Resin fillings work great for minor fixes, but they eventually hit a wall. If a deep cavity or nasty split eats up more than half your tooth, a basic filling just will not hold up to everyday chewing.
